WHAT EXACTLY ARE PLANKTON?
♦Plankton are marine drifters-organisms carried along by tides and currents. The term “Plankton” originates from the Greek word for "drifter" or "wanderer". Participants in the CAT BA VISION TOUR will gain a deeper understanding of these intriguing organisms.
WHAT TYPE OF PLANKTON THAT WE CAN SEE AROUND LAN HA REGION? WHAT COLOUR IT IS?
♦Plankton can be divided into two categories: Phytoplankton (plants) and zooplankton (animals). Phytoplankton are microscopic plants, but they play an crucial role in the marine food chain by converting sunlight into energy.
♦Zoo plankton included microscopic animals like krill and sea snails mostly feed on Phytoplankton and are in turn preyed upon by larger animals.
WHAT IS THE BEST CONDITION TO SEE PLANKTON?
♦Plankton can't move by themselves. They live by joining each other to make a huge plankton web. So on AS MUCH THE TIDE STABLE, AS MORE PLANKTON WE CAN SEE
♦On every plankton contain an amount energy. That is the reason when we put out the water, we can see the light come out. So on the day that has no MOON or little moon, we can see plankton well
♦Kayaking should be done in some hidden lagoon (Where have less current, and darker)
WHAT IS THE BEST HOURS TO SEE PLANKTON?
♦Plankton have sleeping time and awaking time. The best hours to see from 8PM to 11PM
EXPLORE PLANKTON WITH CAT BA VISION:
3.30PM: The tour organized by Cat Ba Vision runs from 3.30PM to 10PM. Participants have time to explore the view from Beo floating fishing village around sunsets before reaching the expected destination (a hidden lagoon in Lan Ha centre).
4.30PM: Dim the feelings into emerald water with swimming, jumping activities together.
5.30PM: Free kayaking at sunset.
6.30PM: Buffet dinner on the boat.
7.45PM: Kayaking into hidden lagoons located nearby to have nature feelings and PLANKTON watching.
9.30PM: Return to the boat then get on a high speed boat to return the harbor. Our bus picks up then drops off you at your hotel.
NOTE:
♦ Participants have plankton explained by the tour guide.
♦ Participants will dress in black clour (Long black T-shirt, black gloves will be provided) to see more plankton.
♦ Swimming with PLANKTON is an optional but participants have to be sure that they are not lack of experiences on returning the kayak after jumping off.
INCLUDED: Boat, all entrance fees, kayak, all equipments, buffet dinner, drinking water, towels and an English speaking tour guide.

1. Can we see plankton every night?
⇒Yes, we can see plankton every night BUT it is perfect plankton watching on the night that has small Moon or no Moon.
2. Can we swim with plankton?
⇒Yes, you can jump off the kayak for swimming with plankton BUT you must be a good swimmer and have anough expriences on returning the kayak after jumping off.
3. How can we learn about pplankton on your tour?
⇒Our tour guide will detail with the full explanation related to plankton before participating in the activities. Before doing kayaking for plankton watching, we will provide you a long black shirt and black gloves that will help you more to see plankton well. You can pick up plankton on your hand dressed by black gloves.
4. Can we have shower right after doing plankton tour?
⇒Yes, you can have a shower on our boat or the room at our floating homestay
5. How experience Cat Ba Vision is?
⇒We started updating plankton tour since from 2016 December. We are proud of that we are the first tour operator in Vietnam to organize this kind of tour. So for sure that, we have professional experiences on this kind of tour.
